The Zoo of Miskolc was opened in 1983 as a result of social cooperation. It is located in a nice environment in the „Csanyik" Valley at the gate of the Bükk Mountains. The area of the Zoo is 22 hectare.
Next to the inland tribes lots of kind of exotic animals can be found. Visitors can see 600 piece of 120 kinds: bears, wolves, tigers, panters, grey meerkats, lynxes, deers, parrots, lorries, monkeys, pets etc.
There are lots of kind of fish,exotic insects, 10 kind of reptailes in the aquarium, terrarium, insectarium.
Everybody is able to adopt animals for one year. Visitors will be informed about your support by board in the animal's runners.
