The ‘small trains’ of the forest railways run between the residential district of Észak-Kilián via Lillafüred to Garadna along the 14 kms of tracks. The winding route through the forest takes us over the longest viaduct in Hungary (64 metres long and 20 metres high) through two tunnels along the shore of Lake Hámor to Garadna, which is famous for its trout farm, passing the oldest industrial monument in Hungary, the ancient foundry in Újmassa, which is still in operational condition. The train runs all the year round with closed and heated carriages in winter and open carriages in the summer. In the summer there is another route which operates between the terminus in Észak-Kilián and Mahóca every week-end and on weekdays by special order for groups.
